Dislocated Concert is a transeuropean concert, crowd-written and played in different locations through internet. The performance mixed music, scenery and videography. It was displayed in different locations around Europe on 20th September at 19:30 CET (GMT+2:00).
We tried to dislocate a concert by moving the concepts of the radio into the internet. To do so, we separated the different sections of an orchestra in different places around Spain. The musicians played simultaneously the same piece without hearing the others. The groups received instructions from the conductor through a streaming.
The live signal started at 19:30h CET (GMT+2:00) from MARCO Museum in Vigo. It was also displayed in CGAC, MAC, MUSAC, IVAM, CONSMUPA, Conservatorio Profesional de Cangas, Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo, Auditorio Municipal de Cangas, CCAI, Galería Mutuo, KABK, Karakedi and www.dislocatedconcert.com
Dislocated Concert was organized by Plastic Crowds Art Collective, a group of young creative professionals interested in contemporary art. There was also plenty of experienced senior musicians, composers and technicians involved in this project. The concert was held with the support of Iniciativa Xove – Xunta de Galicia, MARCO Vigo and UVigo-TV.
